He was one of a rare breed of journalist who worked until just one month before his death. His voice was wonderful. His news was accurate. And he rarely, if ever, got it wrong. He was a voice that influenced me to go into this field -- and I will surely miss his voice on 1010 WINS. Rest in peace, Stan. New York radio will never again be the same.
