The New York Islanders will host our Devils in a pre-season game on Sept. 21 (my birthday) at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn. The two teams were slated to play in Brooklyn this season for a pre-season game, but the lockout forced its cancellation.
We're not sure of the game time yet, but we do know tickets will go on sale on April 17. So let's ensure we're well represented at this game Devils fans.
Ironically, though, the center is not built for hockey — and the hockey configuration, seen below this post, is quite different than anything we're used to seeing.
This is what the Isles will contend with when the call the Barclay's Center home beginning in September 2015 (or sooner if they can somehow get out of their god-forsaken lease at the Coliseum).
Still, should be interesting to see this game — what it looks like with the configuration — and what the reception is for the Isles (and Devils for that matter).
