For all the lamenting that he’s gone, Zach Parise may not, himself, be in the post-season — and we can only hope that’s exactly what happens

The Devils never recovered after losing Zach Parise, and yet for all that lamenting, there’s a chance — if things go well — he won’t see the post-season, either. Minnesota is currently in 8th in West, but if Columbus wins tonight — and the Wild lose — Columbus will get in as either the 8th or 7th seed, depending on what Detroit does. I’m hoping for a Detroit win and a Columbus win, coupled with a Minnesota loss. It would surely make the zing hurt less if it happens.
