Marc Eisenberg tells me it's because the fans actually in the seats are up at the club. But this looks horrible on TV. Take a peek at the empty seats at Center Ice at tonight's Panthers game.
What's unfortunate is the cameras face these seats — so either the Panthers crowds are abysmal or they really are watching from up top.
Still, it does not translate well on tele. And thanks to Timmy Gillette for the heads-up on this.
