Attendance Watch for Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013: 1 of 10 isn't a sellout

There were 10 games in the NHL on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, and of them, just one wasn't a sellout. A crowd of 15,340 saw the Panthers lose a bizarre game on home ice to Washington, 6-5 in OT. The crowd was 79 percent capacity.

The Devils, meanwhile, sold out for the sixth time in seven home games. Their overall average is now 17,222, good for 20th in the league. (Again, 20th is deceptive, since the Prudential Center capacity of 17,625 makes it impossible for the team to compete, attendance wise, with places like Montreal and Chicago where the capacity is over 21,000). They're playing at 97.7 percent capacity, their best ever — and an average of 3,000 more after seven home games last year.
