The funny thing about bloggers without journalism training ...


I got a kick out of the Devils blogosphere today.

Earlier today, we broke the "news" that ESPN is currently listing Scott Gomez as a member of the New Jersey Devils.

When it got around Twitter, I was utterly amazed by the number of people who saw our post — and then went on to take credit for "breaking" the news.

I suppose this is what happens when amateurs attempt to do that which they are not trained to do.

Attribution? Why bother — we'll just make it look like it was ours from the get-go.

That's why what you'll find here are fresh stories — and properly attributed stories from other reliable sources.

Lesson learned here — it's no wonder why people don't trust the media. Unfortunately, it's people who have never been in the media who give a bad name to those who have — and who take credibility seriously.
