I've waited FIVE MONTHS for the start of the NHL season, and the fools can't get Gamecenter Live to work — anywhere

So I guess I'll just have to wait a few more days to get to see the Devils — or maybe even longer than that.

After enduring a five-month lockout, it's opening night — finally. I've been looking forward to this day for months. And I decided to splurge for Gamecenter Live so I could watch games live, in HD, on my computer.

What happens?

The NHL finds a way to louse it up.

Since the second period of the Devils game ended, I've been unable to get past the login screen on Gamecenter Live.

What's worse? I have the Android Gamecenter Live app, and it obnoxiously says THERE ARE NO GAMES SCHEDULED for Jan. 19. And it's said that all day long. They've done absolutely nothing to fix this. All day. It said the whole no games scheduled thing at noon ET today.

No games scheduled?

Did anyone — I mean anyone — do tests to see if the software was working properly? Is this what happens when the league offers a package of games at a discount?

To say I am livid is an understatement.

Via Twitter, I found people across the country — and in the UK — who were having similar issues.

Really, NHL? The master schedule says there were to be 13 games today.

Not even audio was available.
(Update: It's back — barely — with 18 seconds left in the Devils-Islanders game. Missed nearly the entire third period. Can't wait to see how the NHL doesn't handle this properly).
