There's issues of building availability.
The Memorandum of Understanding has to be signed first.
The union has to ratify the deal first.
Pure, unadulterated nonsense.
In its first public display — a week after after announcing the lockout is over — the NHL has absolutely made a mockery out of failing to announce a full schedule. I don't five a flying you know what about the reason.
The bottom line is it's a week after the deal was struck — and the NHL has still not released a schedule. And for a league that has had a public-relations nightmare on its hands for the last four months, this is just right unacceptable.
And yet, it's hardly a shock either.
Sorry for coming across harshly here. But the way the league has handled this is beyond unacceptable. And I do not care what the reasons are.
It ultimately leaves clubs a week or so to sell single-game tickets for the opening night — and if you think it's OK how this has been handled, you're definitely in the wrong place right now.
Add one more strike, as far as I am concerned, against a league that couldn't care less about its fans.
OK, I'm done for now.
