NHL.com’s
Dan Rosen penned a great piece on what went wrong with the 2013 New Jersey Devils. Though some are obvious, the points he makes are nonetheless stark, from not replacing
Zach Parise, to a lack of production from
David Clarkson, Travis Zajac (did he even score a goal this year?) and
Patrik Elias (late in the season).
But he also goes on to note the future is not bleak by any means — consider this team will have a top-10 draft pick this summer.
It’s worth a read.
