In the third period of today’s game,
Stephen Gionta was checked into the Panthers’ bench. As he tried to get out,
TJ Brennan basically cross-checked him out — and Panthers color commentator Billy Lindsay, on the replays, laughed and said “I kinda find it humorous myself,” after which Steve Goldstein, the Panthers PBP man, laughed.
Second game in a row these two have gotten under my skin. It wouldn’t have been funny if he were hurt — you know, like the last time these two teams played and one of our best players got hurt for far too many games?
