NHL Attendance Watch for Friday, March 8, 2013

There were five games in the NHL on Friday, March 8, 2013, and of them, two weren't sold out. The non-sellouts were:

Winnipeg at Florida — 16,442 — 85 percent full.

Calgary at Anaheim — 15,839 — 92 percent full.

Anaheim continues to have trouble drawing, despite having the second-best record in the west. It's quite remarkable, actually, because if the Hawks weren't doing what they're doing, we'd instead be talking about this great season the Ducks are having. It will be interesting to see if the crowds pick up there as the season gets closer to an end.

Meanwhile, last night, the Avalanche had just their second sellout of the year last night —and the crowd went home happy, as the Avs beat Chicago, 6-2. I've been waiting a long time to say that (____ beat Chicago).
