Ilya Kovalchuk will be out two to four weeks after his shoulder was injured in last night's game at home against the Panthers. And suddenly, I went from quasi-liking the Panthers to detesting the mere mention of the team's name.
And meanwhile, up the road in Tampa Bay, the Lightning fired coach Guy Boucher.
GM Steve Yzerman praised Boucher, but said he wasn't satisfied with the direction the team was heading.
It'll be interesting to see who they replace Boucher with. For now, it'll be two assistants in charge.
